The school location where we rent for the DTS project has been replaced during the summer holiday due to a reduction in school finances. The number of students we were expecting was about 90. So, before starting term, we needed to prepare the school compound and classroom. We currently have four classrooms that are filled with students.

Because of this, the preparation took most of our budget three months. However, we were able to make the school better and suitable for our students.

The tutorial class is held alongside the normal classes. We continue to teach art twice a week. We also focus on English and Mathematics. The students are improving, and their teachers and family are happy and grateful to see their students progressing well.

However, the budget remaining is only sufficient for one month. I was able to manage the budget for the first month.  For the remainder of  time, I had to use the school's budget. It is a challenge to run the program on such a small budget. It would mean a lot to us if we could secure more funding to enable us to do the work more effectively. I am excited to continue running the education program for children in partnership with our generous donors in Japan.
